The British evangelist Fane Conant was special guest of the evangelical churches in Svistov. He had an official dinner for the city intellectuals. Amongst the invited were also journalists and students.

After very successful carrier as a journalist that culminated in 10 years in the London's Sunday Time, where he worked in the advertising department, Fane Conant decided to dedicate his whole time to share about his Christian faith. He often is invited by the Luis Palau Association as evangelist and speaks in Great Britain, Central and Eastern Europe. He is often guest-speaker at different events and works also with the organization "Christian Vision for Men". "I have traveled a lot and it appears that people everywhere have common needs and desires, but they are mainly connected with the spiritual and not the material aspect of life" said in front of his guests Fane Conant in Svistov. He invited them to think seriously about the meaning of their life and for everyone to look for the answers of the most important questions "what is of real value, what is to be respected and what is our destiny that awaits us".

The journalist from Great Britain Fane Conant was special guest in Ruse. He shared his message about the virtues of Christ, the Christian life and how this corresponds with the modern times we live in. In front of the audience he has shared little known facts about the way to the Christian faith of famous people like the American President Dwight Eisenhower and the widow of the ex communist leader Leonid Brezhnev. He also quoted the Queen of England Elisabeth and prince Charles. Specially for our newspaper Fane Conant emphasized that being a good journalist and dedicated Christian is not impossible thing. According to him it is the Christian virtues that help one working in the media to make sure that his work will help the audience. He also believe that it is possible to deliver the news in a way that is not in conflict with the Christian moral. Conant has shared that working for Guardian, Daily mail and Sunday Times have taught him many lessons including things that affected his Christian vision for mankind. The meetings were coordinated by the evangelical Church of God of Prophecy in Ruse.
